Frequently Asked Questions by Pet
Puppy grooming starts as early as one month old.
The breeder initially trims the puppy’s claws, washes, and dries them with a hairdryer, getting them accustomed to the grooming procedures. You should visit a professional groomer after all mandatory vaccinations are completed, which is 14 days after the last vaccination, typically around four months of age.
You should bathe your pet at least once a month. The bathing process includes:
1. Washing with a super cleansing shampoo.
2. Washing with a moisturizing shampoo, thoroughly rinsing until the coat is squeaky clean.
3. Applying conditioner or a moisturizing mask.
4. Spraying with an anti-static spray and brushing out dead undercoat while drying each strand of fur.
Bathing hydrates the skin, maintaining its protective barrier and preventing various dermatological issues.
Brush their fur weekly with a specialized brush and comb, spraying the fur with anti-static spray during brushing.
Wash their paws with special shampoo after walks.
Rinse their eyes with saline solution if they get dirty.
Clean their teeth daily with a brush and special gel or toothpaste.
Hygiene includes nail trimming, paw hygiene (trimming the fur between the toes to keep paws clean and prevent fungal growth), ear cleaning, bathing, drying, and brushing the fur.
If the fur isn’t brushed, it can tangle and form mats. Over time, these can cover the entire pet and turn into a "shell." Under the mats, the skin can’t breathe, tightens, becomes inflamed, and can even harbor parasites, including fly larvae (maggots).
Groomers can detangle local mats, but this is labor-intensive and can be painful for the pet. The groomer will inform you of the approximate additional cost for mat removal after visually inspecting your pet.
If you prefer not to incur extra costs, the groomer can offer a haircut that removes the mats. This option avoids discomfort for the pet and makes it easier for you to maintain your pet’s short fur, without additional charges.
